I have been using this surgery for a while now.I find the front of house, really respectful, and quite helpful.I have also have had the privilege of being seen by the doctors and nurses on a number of occassions, and can not fault their professionalism, compassion and care, which is why it pains me to be writing this.
I recently visited the surgery, first thing in the morning, complaining of asthma, and requiring a prescription for my inhalers.Normally,I am informed when my prescription will be ready, and go and collect it later,or a doctor or a nurse will see me later that morning.
On this occassion,I filled out the paper slip which is customary on all visits.I was informed by the receptionist that the doctor would give me a call later, and I had to go back home.I had been unwell most of the night, and had run out of inhalers.I waited for the doctor to call for about 3hrs,and as I was really tired from being breathless all night,I fell asleep.
I have had to go to A&E to get my prescription, something I tried to avoid,by visiting the surgery. And this means hours of waiting to be seen, transport costs of getting a taxi.
This is extremely disappointing,as it would have only taken a few minutes to arrange my prescription, and I only live a couple if minutes away from the surgery.
Very disappointed on this occassion
"Frustrated"
