"Hysteroscopy"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital / Gynaecology

Today I had a hysteroscopy at the royal Stoke hospital I was really quite nervous as I had seen lots of bad reports about how painful the procedure was online this has prompted me to send in a review of a positive nature. From the moment I arrived at the hospital reception to going through for my hysteroscopy all the nurses and staff were very caring and kind and very thorough in explaining what was going to happen regarding the procedure I was introduced to the Dr who explain further what she was going to do and explained about pain relief etc. I found the procedure was no more painful than a routine smear I was given a local anaesthetic and would tell anybody that is worried about this procedure that it is straightforward and only slightly uncomfortable.
