I called at the Minor injuries Unit mid morning on Saturday 20th January 2018 with an eye infection. I had been advised to attend the hospital after visiting the chemist.
From the moment I arrived I was treated with respect, dignity and was involved with all decisions about my treatment. My eye was given a thorough examination and am pleased to say that is was not anything serious.
The nurse was caring and considerate at all times and explained in great detail what she was doing and what would happen depending on the outcome of the examination. I had confidence in her and was relaxed at all times. I was given medication after the examination which has helped my condition.
It was less than an hour from arrival until I left the hospital.
Thank you Alnwick Infirmary.
