"A view from the other side"

About: Princess Anne Hospital / Gynaecology

I have worked on a ward at

SGH for 18 years but never been admitted has a patient . From the start on the day I felt fully informed of my surgery by staff surgeon and anaesthetist . I woke after having removal of ovarian cysts to a very welcoming ward called Bradshaw the nursing staff were caring and I felt brilliant I was very scared going into hospital after looking after children for 18 years in SGH I saw things very differently has a patient . They made my stay and I feel the other ladies in my room easier with their friendliness and kindness . I saw my surgeon every day who kept me informed . Just wanted to give praise where it should be given . Thank you

Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience. Your comments of praise have been passed to the matron for the area you were cared for in, to share with the wider team.

It is very pleasing that good communication aided your stay.

Wishing you well with your continued recovery.
