"maternity ward"

About: Queen's Hospital / Maternity care

The maternity ward at queens- midwife' was rude, no privacy when you are in labour.

Only a curtain between patients.

You can everyone screaming.

Don't want to give any pain killers to relive pain.

Just want you to push baby and go home.

No dignity given to mums.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I am sorry to hear the concerns that you have raised as this is not the level of service we expect to be provided to women. I would be grateful if you could contact our Patient, Advice and Liaison Service (PALS). They can be contacted on 01708 435 454 or by email pals@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk so that your concerns can be looked into. The PALS team will do everything they can to help you. Once again, please accept my sincere apologies.

Kind Regards

Wendy Matthews

Deputy Chief Nurse/ Director of Midwifery
