"I have been treated in A&E and the Endoscopy..."

About: West Cumberland Hospital / Accident and emergency

Sadly over the past few days I have been treated in A&E and the Endoscopy Department the next day, still in a lot of pain due possibly to my other medical problems. At all times the staff were caring, attentive and did their best, referring to Senior colleagues to help. I was not discharged until they had helped me to control the pain. In the Endoscopy Dept that meant staff waiting after their shift had finished to make sure I would be ok. The Senior Doctor was very kind and informative and very helpful. All the staff were excellent and things were carried out in a sympathetic way. I needed the help and I received it so first class treatment. I was sorry to have to take up time in A&E at your busy time of year but things had not gone well before these visits. I'm an MS sufferer so it's never an easy one with neuropathic pain but everyone did their very best. Thank you so much staff at West.

Many thanks for taking the time to post your comments about the care and attention you received at West Cumberland Hospital in A&E and Endoscopy. I am pleased that you felt so well looked after and that your pain was addressed and you were looked after in a sympathetic way. I will ensure that your kind words are passed on to the teams concerned who always enjoy getting feedback from patients they have looked after.

With best wishes
