What I liked
Medical service was really good at the consultant level.
The refferal system was quick, and very flexible (important to me).
The outpatients area was well ordered, clean and pleasent.
Overall, very very positive. I would definetly go again.
What could be improved
Before i was seen the consultant who i had an appoinment with in outpatients, I was seen by a visiting honorary SpR who spent most of the 10-minute consultation asking me about he could become a GP in the UK.
I felt unable to say what i really felt which was a) its all available on the interent and b) would he mind asking me a few quesitons about how I am please?
I also felt that the staff behind the desk in outpatients spent rather a lot of thier time talking loudly about thier weekends and nights out. I appreciate that this is thier workplace, but there are professional standards to be upheld as well. I am no way critisising the way the delt with me (speedy, polite, efficient and caring) but its a bit disconcerting to hear the people who just asked you a series of personal questions sharing sex jokes at fairly loud volumes....
"medicine - great. professionalism -..."
