Following a smear test at my doctors, I was referred to the hospital under the 10 day referral. I received a phone call 2 days after my doctors appointment and received a confirmation letter confirming my appointment.
The appointment was booked one week after my smear test. I attended my appointment today and the treatment I received was excellent
As I was early for my appointment the receptionist checked if I could be seen early, and as there had been a cancellation this was possible.
The consultants were very reassuring and answered any concerns and talked me through the whole procedure and the nurse showed great empathy and made me feel as comfortable as I could be.
The consultants and the nurse really took their time to answer my questions and the care I received was fantastic. Please pass my thanks to the Woman's Unit.
