We found the overall care given to us throughout the pregnancy and postnatal care to be excellent. And the staff at Epsom hospital to be very caring and professional.
Our one criticism would be that; the only check made regarding feeding was that baby was latching on, not that mums milk had come through. We were unaware that due to us delivering by (unplanned) caesarean mum’s milk production would be delayed. And think it would have been beneficial for the midwives to inform us that this would be the case, and perhaps suggest that we could top up with formula in the interim.
We were re-admitted to the Neonatal unit by the community midwife, where we found the Neonatal team to be very welcoming and reassuring that baby’s jaundice would be easily treated. We stayed overnight whilst baby underwent phototherapy, and found the team very helpful and family like to which we are very grateful.
"Overall good care"
