"Delayed review from June last year"

About: Homerton University Hospital / Maternity

I've been meaning to leave a review since I had to be induced after gestational diabetes and then had an emergency c-section. What I would say is beyond their control it was very busy, and due to that my treatment was delayed in some places but this is very much a funding issue not the hospital itself. I was looked after beautifully in templar, with stars such as two particular staff members taking great care of me. My nurse for delivery was also fantastic. The aftercare was busy but and I did have to remind them for painkillers at times but this didn't bother me. They were always polite and efficient. I wanted to leave as soon as I could to nest at home as it was a heat wave. They let me leave the next day and I was immediately visited by midwife who took on the aftercare. Have realistic expectations from the NHS and you'll be more than well looked after.

Thank you for telling us about your positive experience of our maternity services.

Although we are busy you should not have to wait for pain killers and we are sorry about that.

We are so pleased that the care was good and congratulations on the safe arrival of your baby. Your comments have been sent to the maternity team who are always pleased to receive feedback from their patients.

If you have any further feedback, comment or query you can contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on tel. 020 8510 7315, or text 07584445400, or email huh-tr.PALS.Service@nhs.net
