"Kind and professional"

I visited the Endoscopy Unit for a Sigmoidoscopy. I was very nervous and had imagined that it would be embarrassing and unpleasant to say the least. But I needn't have worried. The staff were highly professional, courteous and kind. The procedure wasn't painful and only minimally uncomfortable. Great care was taken to preserve modesty and to make it as reassuring as possible. A very kind nurse held my hand throughout and I felt extremely well looked after. I would encourage anyone to go ahead and have this test. It's far better than worrying about symptoms.
