"The staff deserve a medal"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary / Accident & emergency

We are all aware that they are short staffed and also the waiting time is hours long but to me you cannot blame the staff for that. They obviously need more staff to deal with the volume of injured people coming to A&E. I can only praise the very busy staff from start to finish from the lovely lady on reception, to a staff nurse on his break who noticed I needed to remove rings on my broken arm hand rather than me have to have my late mother’s wedding ring cut off. Lovely man. Friendly nurse assessed me. Polite and efficient. Then the most caring doctor, huge dog lover so ever more wonderful and a sweet natured nurse who I didn’t get the name of put my cast on. People in the waiting room can be so rude when these people are here to help. Manners cost nothing and get better results. I can’t fault my treatment. Thank you very much. X
