"Friendly staff and a very clean hospital..."

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

What I liked

I was taken to the surgical assessment unit with pains in my stomach, which was originally thought to be appendicitis. On that particular day the ward was very busy, with a lot of emergency patients coming through, which meant I had to wait a while to be seen, however, this was to be expected. Whilst waiting, I was always being checked on by the very friendly nurses even though they had so much to do. My doctors kept me informed of what would be happening, and the tests that they wanted to perform and why. My stay at the hospital was as good as it could be, and I'd like to thank all of the staff on the ward for their compassionate care.

What could be improved

The only thing I would suggest for improvement, was that I was asked the same questions about my medical history repeatedly. I understand that because they were busy I was being seen by different people, however, it was at times quite draining to keep answering the same questions even worse so for the elderly people on my ward.
