"Thank you CCU for looking after me and..."

What I liked

I was in the coronary care unit. It was clean ,the staff were approachable and professional. I liked the way in which I was brought into discussion about my medical problem and the ethos of partnership in clinical matters which the medical staff encouraged. I also found the food choice good and the food itself perfectly satisfactory

What could be improved

What we allmust recognise is that there ard more and more elderly people of whom I am one! We also need to take into account that we need more attention because we do become confused .....and this needs I think to be recognised in staffing levels. At no time did I experience or notice neglect , for the staff are dedicated to their mission, but there were times when the demands made on the nursing staff were very high and those whose aim in life appears to be to reorganise the NHS must take this into account.

I have a great deal for which to thank the medical and nursing staff of the CCU over nearly 20 years now, first and last, and hope that they will be given the resources necessary to continue their work
