"Very good professional care and caring..."

About: Royal Free Hospital

What I liked

Throughout my ante-natal care the midwives were very caring and professional. On a couple of occasions I had to go in for unscheduled check ups and I was treated very well by all involved.

I had my baby in October 2010 and although I ended up having a C section, the doctors were very good to communicate throughout the 2 days with me and the midwife support was very good.

Finally, at the ward afterwards, the food was very good, the wards clean and the overall post natal support was very good too.

I had to go back in with an infection and again the staff were very caring, they remembered me and were very considerate of being a new mum and having to go back with the newborn.

What could be improved

When I went back two days later with the infection, I wasn't told what the infection wad and how it happened but maybe it wasn't clear. At that point it would have been nice to be able to talk more with the doctors.

Anything else?

Very good refurb - brought the hospital to life!
