"Atrocious. Thank God I'm Still Alive."

About: Unity Health

Frankly, I wouldn't even know how clean their practice is or whether the GP's are attentive. I couldn't even get through on their phone line. I tried for days, 10+ times per day. The line either rang and rang (with no answer, no automated service, no queue), or it was busy. I was finally able to negotiate their online appointment system (which only allows you to make one appointment, one time) and got an appointment within a few days time.

The next day I got a reminder text.

Fine.

The day of the appointment, I received a text stating my appointment had been canceled. Period. No reason or direction was provided. There was no attempt at triage (my situation was asthma related and breathing is kind of important).

And because they are unreachable on the phone, calling is no help. Nor can I make another appointment online because their system won't allow it. Their practice is specifically built as a barrier to care.

Incredibly, I received a mailed letter reminding me to get a cervical screening. "Just call your GP to set it up" the brochure cheerily espoused.

Lies, all lies.

Unity Health doesn't want to help you.

You will never reach them.

Go to A&E or pay for a private GP.
