I was bought in via ambulance crew due to back pain and rightsided leg weakness. I would like to start by thanking the ambulance crew that came out to me. Being a nurse I understand the pressure that is currently on emergency services so when calling 999 I felt bad but I didn't have any other option. The crew were amazing and told me I did the right thing.
On arrival to A&E I was seen promptly and given pain relief.
I was given tea and a sandwich. The doctors were very honest about their concerns. I was told I had to be seen by orthopaedics but the hospital was full so it may be a few hours. I waited less than 20 mins. I was given an appt for MRI the next day. My only complaint is I had to call my Gp to increase my pain killers significantly. My appt with the speclist is in 3 weeks.
Thank you Walsall manor and ambulance crew for taking care of me.and my husband who is disabled and was also looked after too.
