Having been involved with the Wheelchair service for many years I would have to say it has reached an all time low. The telephone is seldom answered and when it is nothing is done. They have their way of working which is never interrupted by the needs of the patient. We have a wheelchair that is over 10 years old that they cannot get parts for. When it was replaced by a new one, it would not fit through the doors of the house or in the back of the car. We were told thats what we supply and you will have to get your doors widened of your house and get a new car. We are now back with the old chair which my son is falling out the side of. If you are over 30 and in need of a wheelchair there is a good chance you will die of old age before you get one. A more useless service it will be hard to find.
