"Day Surgery Proceedure - Laparoscopic..."

Despite there being a lot of people waiting in the Day Surgery unit, I was taken through quickly and was seen almost immediately by a very nice lady doctor who introduced herself, took my medical history and gave me plenty of time to ask questions, putting me at ease.

I was then seen by an anaesthetist with excellent interpersonal skills who introduced himself and reassured me as to what was going to happen.

As I was first on the list, I was taken through to the pre-op room where I was cared for by a team who all introduced themselves and were very efficient and put me totally at ease.

On coming around from the procedure I was looked after extremely well by a team of lovely nurses, again who had excellent interpersonal skills and despite being very busy were very attentive and efficient.

Before discharge, I was visited by the Surgeon, who checked on my progress, discussed his findings and took the time to let me know how the procedure had gone, answering my questions fully.

The procedure was very successful and has totally resolved the problems I was having.

In summary, I had a very positive experience at the Hospital and would have no hesitation in recommending it as having the highest standards.
