"Teenage son's foot injury"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

I just wanted to thank the staff of Hairmyers A&E for the prompt, professional and caring treatment given to my 13 year old son. After suffering an injury playing basketball and in some considerable pain, he was seen by nurse Carolanne and X-rayed in a very timely manner. Thankfully there was no broken bones and the ligament strain will heal in due course.

Thank you again from a relieved father and a 13 year old who is keen to get back playing the game he loves.

Dear Lisbon67

Thank you for sharing your recent experience after your son suffered a basketball injury. I am pleased to hear that he received prompt and professional care and I will ensure your comments are shared with Carol-Ann.

I am glad to hear that your son did not suffer any broken bones and hope that his recovery is swift. Returning to the game he loves is obviously an important target to him so I hope he is on the way to recovery.

Thanks again for sharing.

Best wishes to you all

Lise
