I have had the unfortunate need to visit the pharmacy department three times the past few weeks....Just as I felt things couldn't get any worse they surpass my expectations!
Due to the ridiculous waiting times (on the 3 visits I were told 1hr, 90mins and 2 hrs) I put my prescriptions in and then collect the next day. When arriving to collect my items there are patients queuing into the corridor, huge numbers of patients waiting at the dispensing window hassling pharmacy staff to the point they stop coming so no-one comes to collect the tickets of those that are returning to collect their items. Today I waiting 40mins for someone to take my ticket after being told 4 times someone would come shortly.
I understand they've changed the prescription policy to all patients given a white hospital prescription instead of a green pharmacy prescription, my question is how does this benefit anyone, patients are inconvenienced, the pharmacy department can't cope with the high numbers of patients. If this question could be answered I'd really appreciate it.
