I would like to send a huge thank you to all the staff who attended to my Mother last Friday night.
After reading her recent scan results her GP telephone me on Friday night at 8pm to say she needed to go to A&E as he had concerns about her kidney function and possible blockage.
We arrived at 8.30pm and waited a short amount of time before we were seen by a wonderful nurse, Phillip who did her obs etc and bladder scan, we then saw Dr Abdul who said he'd contacted urology at Heartlands for their opinion. A couple of hours later they came back to him to say that they wanted her transferred to Heartlands.
We had a transport ambulance to take us there, two lovely guys. We arrived at Heartlands in the early hours of Saturday morning onto the SAU ward and straight away the nurse on duty took my Mothers obs, made sure she was comfortable in her bed, extra pillows for her etc.
When we saw Mr Ibrahim - he explained that he had looked at her scans in detail and that he had no major concerns that needed attention but they would discuss things at their MDT meeting this week. He then discharged my Mother and we went home.
I cannot thank you all enough for the wonderful way in which my Mother was treated special thanks to Phillip (nurse in A&E Good Hope) Dr Abdul,(A&E Good Hope) nursing staff at SAU Heartlands and of course Mr Ibrahim.
"Elderly Mother taken into A&E last Friday night - huge thank you"
