About: Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital

Was transferred from Wansbeck to the new Cramlington Hospital for chest related issues. Two blood tests, several ECG's and a few other procedures took around 6-7 hours. Got on really well with everyone I met. The paramedics in the ambulance were brilliant. The doctors and nurses were fantastic. Professional and more importantly, treat me like a person, not just a patient. It made all the difference. I have bad anxiety, but never felt like anyone treat me differently. These people don't get the recognition that they deserve. Thank you to all of them / you for everything.

Dear Gary,

When you’re not used to them, hospitals can be very frightening places sometimes - especially an emergency care one that is investigating the reasons behind your chest pain - I can appreciate what a worrying time this must have been ?

It’s lovely to hear that all the staff you met at The Northumbria were thoughtful, responsive and able to provide you with the kind of care that mattered to you.

Reviews like yours allow us to give staff the recognition they deserve for a job well done. Thank you for appreciating their commitment and hard work. On those days that are especially busy, just knowing that we’ve managed to get it right for patients really does make all the difference.

I’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to our teams including colleagues in the ambulance service. I do hope that the reason that brought you into hospital is all sorted now ?
