About: Bradford Royal Infirmary / Accident and emergency

at the cubicle we were never informed we were going for X-rays until the porter came. Then we were told we’d be going to a certain ward but the porter came and said it was a different ward we’re going to.

Been on on this ward for more than two hours. Seen by a lovely HCA and got told a nurse will be with us shortly. Keep asking how long and they all just say they will find out and don’t come back or say they can’t say how long it will be.

Doctor on a and e cubicle said she would give us some medication before we go up to the ward and never gave that too- keeping in mind we had to wait 45 minutes when we were told 2 minutes to get painkillers whilst at the cubicle.

Absolutely horrendous. It’s like we don’t even exist on this ward.

Hello, I am really sorry to hear that you are experiencing these issues, what you described is not the standard of communication and care that we want people to be recieving.

I would encourage you to ask to speak to the Sister, Charge Nurse or Ward Manager and explain what has been happening and how you feel. They are in the best position to put things right for you quickly. If you have any other concerns you can ask to speak to the Matron for the area. You can also contact me by email on patient.experience@bthft.nhs.uk or call 01274 383863 during office hours. If you do call and I am not available please leave me your name and a contact number so I can get back to you.
