My aunt had to attend Pilgrim yesterday for a MRI scan and was petrified because she suffers from claustrophobic and is needle phobic. We attended the department and was seen quickly. The nurses had a lovely calming effect and talked through the process and even got her to agree to the required injection. They placed goggles on her before she entered the room and guided her into the scanner so she didn't see the tunnel and how close it would be to her and the person who gave her the injection was gentle and got on with it quickly, after it was all over she was asked if she wanted to see the machine which she did. They made what was a terrying experience into a positive one and she appreciates all the efforts of the staff and wouldn't be afraid to go again but hopefully she won't need too. Far too often all people do is complain but I really feel grateful for the service she received and the way your staff treated her with caring and compassion and respect, well done to the MRI team. Please pass on my comments to them.
"Thank You"
