"my mother inlaw"

About: Halton and St Helens PCT / District nursing

(as a relative),

she has many problems {medical} she is very confused {they think it is delirium} but one of her main medical problems is kidney cancer {very painful illnness}. i told the nurse on admission and asked him if I could ask the district nurse to come in and talk about her illness. he said they have all the gp notes and there was no need.

last night i went to visit her and she complained of back pain. i then went to see the nurse and asked him if she was having her medication, he said no. i then asked to see the doctor. when the doctor seen me she said it was a mistake and would give her the medicine staight away{morphin}.

i waited 1 hour until the nurse came in to the room and i asked what she was giving her, she said paracetamol. i said that was not what the doctor said. she said that they could not get the medicine. i said i would go to her house and get her medicine.

the next thing she said they could get it. i did not trust them so got it myself when i was coming in to the hospital. i saw the doctor going home at 9.30pm and i had asked for the medicine at 7pm.
