"Abstinence & Recovery in Halton"

About: Ashley House

(as a staff member),

I am pleased to tell you that Addaction have been awarded the contract to continue with the Abstinence & Recovery service in Halton. As a leading provider of drug and alcohol services I am sure they will bring considerable enthusiasm and knowledge to this area. And as they already provide a number of other services in Ashley House they will also bring a continuity of care.

As the Commissioner I will now be sorting out a series of meetings over the next week or two so that we can make sure that the Abstinence & Recovery service carries on with as little disruption as possible. watch this space for further information as that work goes on.

Once again I'd like to thank all of those who have made their views known on this subject and have worked with us to make sure this particular service is not 'lost'. It has been extremely encouraging to see so many people come together to find a positive solution to the situation we all found ourselves in.

Thanks again

Steve

Joint Commissioning Manager

Speaking on behalf of both the Community Drug Team and Community Alcohol Team I would like to agree with Steves sentiments. The new arrangements will ensure continuity for both staff , service users and carers and will allow the continuation of the excellent working realationships of all the service providers .It also helps us all maintain the necessary focus on the recovery agenda.
