"Breast cancer team"

About: Queen Marys Hospital (Sidcup)

In June 2017 I was diagnosed via routine mammogram with a Grade 2 breast cancer. From the time I was seen at Kings breast unit and referred to Queen Marys I have to say the treatment and care I received was superb. The whole process from investigation to surgery, oncology and radiotherapy was prompt and efficient. The multi disciplinary approach clearly works very well and the role of the Breast Care Nurse specialist providing support throughout the treatment was invaluable. I am very grateful to all the professionals who have been involved in my treatment and recovery.

Thank you so much for taking time out to post your comments about your care and treatment under both King's Denmark Hill and at Queen Mary's. It's heartening to know that you received 'superb' care and that things ran smoothly and efficiently.

Really good to hear that you felt the MDT approach was helpful and that the Breast Care Nurse was such an asset in your care.

It really does mean a lot to staff to receive positive feedback, so, thank you on behalf of the team.
