About: North Devon District Hospital / Accident and emergency

Recently I attended the A & E department after an accident. I only waited about 1/2 an hour before being seen. I had an x-ray within the next 10 minutes and then was seen by a doctor and treated for a broken collar bone. Everything was well explained and an appointment was made for the fracture clinic the next day. I was leaving the hospital in under an hour having been treated kindly and well throughout. The next day I attended the fracture clinic and again only had a short wait and was again treated kindly and well. Again all was explained well and my care was first class. My treatment continues and I am sure will continue to be excellent. I could not have wished for better.

I am sorry to learn that you had an accident which required treatment for a broken collar bone, however I hope you are making a good recovery and are continuing to be well looked after at the hospital.

It is reassuring you were seen quickly and everything was well explained to you. The staff at the hospital ensure they put patient care at the forefront and I am pleased you are receiving an excellent service.
