Being 55 and having an irregular bleed I was referred for further investigation.
Having left Breast cancer behind some 10 years ago, I was fully aware of what they were looking for and what it meant. The consultant and 2 supporting nurses were superb! Caring, patient centred in approach whilst completing a thorough and professionally manAged biopsy and Examination, I could not recommend the facility more. They dealt so well with me as I presented as a gibberish heap!
My only concern is the booking. I never received any written communication, text or letter. It was a fluke I was in to take the call.
I have just gone to the PO over a week later to pay £2 for a letter with no postage paid...... the appointment letter.
A text had come for the previous week 22nd, I was on way to Macc for what I believed was this appointment, as I received call for 29th. It actually was for MRI...... texts need to say where they have come from/ you can reply. I had cancelled an MRI appointment assuming the text was for this falling at the same time
