I attended the Bill Hobbs ward for treatment for a blocked artery. During that treatment, to cut a long story short, I suffered an acute aortal dissection. The team on the ward eventually got me stabilised enough to send me to the University Hospital of Wales for emergency surgery. I had, it seems, a one in three chance of surviving provided they could get me onto the heart/lung machine.
Well they did it and I am happy to be able to tell you that the treatment, routine and emergency, that I received was absolutely fabulous. Thank you to each and every one of you.
"A huge thank you!"
