"Colonoscopy"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I attended the LGH for a colonoscopy and cannot fault the care I received from the fabulous nurses and Doctor. Yes I had to wait a bit but everyone was so kind and empathetic even in a pressured environment, the procedure was explained . I was given sedation, my dignity was preserved and the staff made my experience as pleasant as possible in these circumstances.

The waiting time to get the procedure from the referral by consultant was minimal. It really is not a painful procedure apart from a few cramping pains when the scope goes through the bends. But the nurses and Doctor helped me through all this. The team was amazing . I hope you can pass on my thanks to the team. They are I think normally based at the

LRI.

They work so hard, are so dedicated and deserve our gratitude and praise.

Thanks again NHS !

Dear mistycat2003,

Thank you for your feedback, we will be more than happy to pass on your comments to the Colonoscopy team. We’re glad to hear that you were made to feel comfortable and were well looked after for what is not the nicest of procedures to undergo. Your praise is very kind and will be very well received by the team.

Best wishes,
