"After care lacking"

About: The Wolds View Primary Care Centre

Booked in to see the GP after experiencing abdominal pain for 4 days straight. A couple of wishy washy questions with a doctor i have already complained about once but we kept things polite and she was professional. She said i had a water infection and gave me some anti-biotics. I had to leave a urine sample and shesaid that the antibiotics would take upto 48hours to take effect and that in that time someone would be in touch re the urine results. Today is the 7th and final day of my course of antibiotics and i was still awaiting the results and to be 100%. I ring the practice and mention ab9ut that soneone should have been in touch, the receptionist mentioned that my sample was clear and that there was no infection yet no-one has contacted me. Ive been waiting 4 days over when they sa8d they would contact, still with abdominal pain and now i cant get an appointment until 22/1. Time to change practice i think.

Normally, due to the large volume of specimens the GPs review and process, the doctors tell patients that the practice will be in touch only if there is anything of concern and advise to return if symptoms do not settle or get worse.

We apologise that this was not the case in your experience.

We do have urgent same day appointments which you can ring to access from 8am each day if you need to be seen before 22/1.
