I slipped on the ice and fractured my wrist. Luckily I was able to get to A&E in a taxi.
The reception staff were efficient and advised me about removing my rings which I was grateful for their advice.
I waiting 50 minutes to be seen by a nurse but my injury wasn't life threatening so it was good.
Once seen, I had an X-ray and after a further short wait, was advised of what they would try to do to put my bone back into the correct place. This was done quickly and I was able to leave when I was fit to travel.
The public is very quick to criticise the NHS but I couldn't fault their efficiency, professionalism and help as they dealt with my fracture which was one of many that day.
Thank you to the team working in the afternoon of Tuesday 12th December 2017.
