I arrived at hospital at 8am for left knee total replacement I spoke with surgeon who told me that as far as they were aware there was no bed for me but to wait and see if one became available,
I then sat and waited a further 2 hrs to be completely ignored by all members of staff in the ward, not once did anyone come over and say they would be with me shortly or that they were trying to find me a bed in fact I was never even asked my name, in fact from entering the main entrance of the hospital to my surgeon coming back at 10am to apologise that my surgery had been cancelled did any member of staff speak to me, the main entrance and ward entrance were un-manned, I felt completely isolated and let down by hospital and staff apart from surgeon what was only person to show any form of humanity or civility
"Cancelled operation"
