Art Therapy
I enjoyed art therapy very much was lucky to have had 2 therapists/ 2 courses who were professional and friendly. I think most people have no idea what is going to happen at the sessions. I certainly did not. I was worried as I had never been any good at art, to be fair I am not brilliant now but I enjoy being able to put my emotions out there and not care what folks think. I think you also begin to learn more after the sessions and be in a better place to deal with experiences and emotions.
SAGE - Dealing with Vhildhood Sexual Abuse.
This was run by 2 therapists and I wanted to do this but I was terrified it would make my stress etc worse. You have to put a lot in and it most probably will be the best investment you will make. Tears, laughter, etc all with 5 other girls that have been through the same as you, all knowing you understand THOSE FEELINGS! You do not have to put up with other people's platitudes, being told you are lying. On and on and on.
Please if you need help with Childhood Sexual Assault please go and get a referral.
It really is worth it and you will be taught how to carry on learning in your time.
