"Todd Ward"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill)

Last October, after a false alarm, I received a liver transplant at Kings. From the time I arrived feeling frightened and apprehensive , to when I left with my new liver 10 days later...... I found all staff from cleaners, nurses, surgeons and consultants totally respectful, kind and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble, no questions were felt to be silly and encouragement was readily given. The nurses always had a smile and kind words and one in particular went out of her way for me when I felt rather down on day 5. I shall always be grateful to both my donor and staff at Kings for giving me a second chance at life.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments about your care at King's for your liver transplant and care on Todd Ward.

It's great to hear such positive comments about all aspects of your care, from staff treating you with kindness and respect to answering your questions, however silly you felt they were. No question is ever silly if you need an answer to reassure you!

We wish you a good recovery and all good wishes for the future.
