"Excellent care from staff at the Day Stay Unit"

I underwent an operation at the Alexander Day Stay Unit on 30 November 2017. From the moment I walked in - very nervous at the thought of going under a general anaesthetic - I received excellent care from the staff on the ward. From the sister who checked me in, to the junior anaesthetist who ran through the procedure with me, to the brilliant staff in the anaesthetic room (who sent me off to sleep laughing!) and the fantastic nursing team who looked after me when I came round - I just could not fault any of them. When my rather squeamish (it has now been confirmed...!) husband came to collect me and nearly passed out, their excellent care extended to him as well - reclining him on a chair, making him comfortable, and bringing him water. First rate service!! Luckily for my husband I'd had an operation on my mouth so couldn't laugh too uproariously.

The staff on the unit are a credit to the profession. Thanks so much for taking care of me (and my husband...!)
