My 100 year old Mum dislocated her jaw at about midnight and was taken to QMC by Ambulance . She was very quickly assessed, blood taken,X-rays done andseen by a doctor who tried with the aid of a Sister and gas and air to have her jaw re-located unfortunately in vain ! She was taken to Resus to have another go under anaesthetic, still no luck ! All this time the female Doctor and all the nursing staff (especially the one particular nurse) were exceptionally kind and informative .Mums jaw was eventually put in place by a specialist consultant ,another very kind and professional medic. I cannot thank all the staff we came into contact with enough for your kindness, compassion, professionalism all sprinkled with humour which my Mum loved.
The Drs who stayed with us all the time is certainly worth a special mention,a real credit to the NHS
