Went with my husband yesterday to the Ambulatory department as he had been booked in for an ultrasound by William Harvey hospital the day before. Although the department was very small with a full waiting room the staff were coping brilliantly under what must be very difficult conditions. My husband was seen by a member of staff who was very thorough in explaining what the ultrasound had found and how the blood clot in his leg was to be treated. We came away from the hospital full of admiration for the department and the treatment he had received.
