"Repeatedly dismissed by consultant"

Referred here for endometriosis, expressed concerns that my endometriosis could be in other, less common places from the beginning but have been repeatedly dismissed, to the point of refususal to recommend other routes of action to get my condition treated properly or even explored... I was even advised against seeking out a specialist clinic on the grounds that "they would not do anything more" than she has already done.

This attitude, along with repeated mistakes (such as asking me to order blood tests from my GP that they don't even do instead of ordering them at the hospital and giving the go ahead for me to stop my endo treatment for surgery without any consideration of my increasingly more severe endo symptoms) have led me to vow never to return.

For my very real concerns to be dismissed again and again like this is appalling, especially if all I am asking for is to be pointed in the right direction to try to manage my illness effectively.

I will be complaining about this particular consultant in due course (surprisingly the link I was sent does not work) - but people should be warned publicly that complicated cases may not be considered as readily as the straightforward ones... I would definitely not recommend.
