"North Staffs Combined service changes"

About: North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust / Adult mental health

(as a service user),

I feel strongly that the mental health resource centres in Staffordshire should stay. They give people a chance to learn the skills they need to get back into the community and live independently and are really important for people's recovery.

I think they prevent lots of admissions to hospital and I think most people don't want to be in hospital, they would prefer to be under the care of the resource centres which are closer to their homes and smaller. This also means they're more friendly and have more of a community feel.

I hope the trust decide to keep the resource centres and I will be voicing this opinion wherever I can!

Thank you very much for taking the time to post your comment at the recent engagement event at the Willfield Centre. All comments are being collated and will be used to inform the development of the options for mental health services.

Once the options have been finalised you will be informed that the options are ready for formal consultation. We hope that you will continue to provide your feedback which will inform the future direction of services for Combined Healthcare.

With kind regards
