Just before Christmas my 3 month old son was taken to A&E via ambulance with breathing difficulties.
He was diagnosed with Bronchiolitis and transferred onto Paddington Ward where he stayed for 5 Days and 4 nights including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
I wanted to make a point of saying how absolutely amazing we found all of the staff, from the paramedic who brought us in, the nurse in A&E, the nurses, doctors and even the cleaners on Paddington Ward, every single one of these people were genuinely wonderful human beings and we can never thank them enough for the care they gave our son.
Ane in particular was fantastic and a credit to the nursing profession (as were all the others on the ward but I can't remember their names, sorry!)
Whilst we were there we also had a visit from father christmas, carol singers and the salvation army brass band, a gentleman from zacharys trust giving out little gift hampers to parents on christmas eve was an incredibly kind gesture also.
All of the above made a very difficult time a little easier, and the staff who were also working leaving their own families at home at christmas are just amazing human beings.
Again from both parents, Thank you so so much for the wonderful care and treatment that our son received, the world needs more people like you.
