my beautiful daughter over the years has mentally and physically deteriorated. I think psychiatrists are totally out of touch with patients and tier loved ones. Today my daughter had an appointment, she was talking bizarrely, the psychiatrist looked up at the clock after five minutes. My daughter was trying to convey her mental anguish yet because of her mental state it was excruciating to see. I, as a parent, opened my mouth to speak and felt I was basically told to but out by the Doctor.
I found the psychiatrist patronising and frankly they seemed bored and disinterested. I could have cried. I did cry when I came out of there. We were made to feel we are nothing, just annoying.
My other daughter who is taking her A levels soon is an A star student, she wants to be a Doctor, she would show far more compassion and humanity, then she could help her sister.
The psychiatrist we saw today is no doubt highly thought of by their colleagues. What exactly are these people who are psychiatrists supposed to be doing?
