I was rushed by ambulance to the A&E Resuscdepartment at approx 11:30am on Thursday 28 December 2017. The reason for my admission was a heart rate over 150 beats per minute with possible sepsis infection.
On arrival at resus I was promptly greeted by a team of excellent doctors and nurses who put me at ease and administered medication swiftly in order to relieve my pain. I was treated very well by the staff in resus that day who gave me 4L IV fluids to re-hydrate me after a lengthy period de-hydration and gave me IV anti-biotics to help me battle my infection. The nursing team were very friendly and helpful providing regularly cups of tea & hot chocolate ensuring was comfortable and not anxious.
I saw how much pressure our NHS is under with staff trying thier best to deliver care in a timely manner. I am really proud of all the staff and thankful to them that they were there to care for me. I really appreciate your hard work despite the huge pressures you are under everyday.
Thank you for making me better!
