"Excellent physiotherapist at PhysioWorks"

About: Sheffield PCT Sheffield PCT / Community physiotherapy Walk-in Centre

(as the patient),

I had been experiencing pain in my right elbow for a few weeks. gradually the pain got worse and I decided to get it checked out. After been sat in a queue at the Hallamshire walk in centre for 3 hours they said there was nothing they could do. The told me I had to go and see my GP and ask for a referral to a specialist as they thought I had trapped a nerve.

I went to see my GP who before even hearing the end of my symptoms asked if I would like a sick note. I work for myself so this would not help me and I had already tried to rest my arm but it did not stop the pain. I had to insist that I see somebody to help me correct the pain I was feeling as it effected my work.

After 2 months of pain I arrived at today where I reluctantly went to see a physiotherapist in Sheffield just of Abbydale Rd about the injury I had to my arm.

I have seen physios in the past (I am very accident prone) and could not understand how this would help me but I was pleasantly surprised!

The physiotherapist I saw was excellent. He was very considerate and talked me through everything he was doing, explaining how the muscles and nerves worked so that I could understand and preform the exercises I had to do I home properly.

I am looking forward to my next visit as I already feel a bit better!
