Still wondering what's going on with the surgery as building has been sold. One doctor is not up to stand, makes you feel like you should not be there.

ringing in morning for a appointment is a nightmare sometimes I have rung over a 100 times then given up. I think we should be able to call any time for a appointment. The doctors use to be good but not sure now. I feel I'm just a nuisance to them it's puts me off a 100%.

Good afternoon Lynne.

My apologies on the delayed response, I've only recently obtained access to this site. My name's Alex Fletcher and I'm the new Patient Services Manager here at The Gore Surgery.

I apologise that there hasn't been much clarity with regards to the Surgery's future, however, I'd like you to know that the surgery has recently been put in the care of College Health Ltd, a company Directed and Governed by GP's with many years experience in practice management and development. College Health Ltd take care of 11 surgeries across Basildon and Thurrock, giving The Gore Surgery multiple support networks and a lot of shared knowledge/experience.

I'd also like to offer some security to you Lynne, by letting you know that we now offer multiple services to help with freeing up appointments -

- We do have one GP on site every day. As well as this, we also have Nurse Prescribers who can tend to specific patient needs and prescribe accordingly. Furthermore, We have a Nurse who specialises in Diabetic care.

- We've also recently been accepted to utilise Basildon's Out-Of-Hours HUB services. This gives us access to book appointments with GP's at three other surgeries across Basildon between the hours of 6:30pm - 8:00pm Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm Saturday and 9:00am - 2:00pm Sunday.

- One more thing I'd love to advertise to you would be our Online Services. We have slots blocked on our rota for patients to book online. Simply sign up with reception, and we can offer more appointments (bookable online), Repeat Prescription requests (Without having to visit the practice), Med Certificates requests and more.
