"Admitted after cycling accident"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital / Accident and emergency

My husband was unfortunate to have an accident while cycling on Christmas Eve, pedestrian walked into the road in front of him. While we had to wait approx an hour for ambulance , the care given by crew was exemplary en route to hospital, when my husband was admitted to AnE in Oldham the treatment , care and respect we received was excellent. He was assessed and processed very quickly and professionally. All staff were concerned and kept me informed at all points. He was admitted to T7 as he had a badly broken elbow and suspected damage to a vertebra. Although progress was slow due to it being Christmas Holiday, my husband was well look after and thankfully his prognosis was much better than we had hoped for initially. Thank you to all staff in accident and emergency for your amazing care and all staff especially the HCA staff on ward T7. We are eternally grateful for all your care and supprort.
