About: Adult Mental Health Crisis Services / Crisis Team City

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter was recently  under the care of the crisis team after being discharged from hospital.

The support and help she got was outstanding.

The doctors and nurses spent time educating her about her illness and treatment options and ways to manage future mental health difficulties. They took time to win her trust and confidence. The interactions we had with many of the team members was good but some have particularly stood out a big thank you to Jim, Sharon and Dr. DiMambro.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience as a parent/guardian, all feedback is valued and welcomed.

I am pleased your daughter received the help and support she needed and that you felt the care to be outstanding, in particualar how the nurses and doctors spent time educating her about her illness and offering treatment choices, I believe this is crucial for patient engagement, collaboration, building confidence and offering choice.

I will feeback your post to the Crisis team, and shout out a big thanks to Jim, Sharon and Dr DiMambro on your behalf.

Thank you again for your posting and I would like to wish your daughter well with her ongoing recovery. I should imagine that this has been a distressing time for yourself as a parent and I wish you well too.
