"Removal of basal cell carcinoma"

About: St Helens Hospital

I was referred by my GP to St Helens plastic surgery unit for the removal of a basal cell carcinoma. I was given an appointment less than 4 weeks after referral between Christmas and New Year. I arrived in plastic surgery at 8:30 as instructed and was admitted immediately. The nurses who greeted me and did the initial tests treated me with utmost respect and made me feel special. The consultant did exactly the same and did his best to reduce my anxiety. During the procedure the theatre staff were amazing, keeping me relaxed and aware of each step within the procedure. I left the hospital at 10:30 and have nothing but positive comments to make. Thank you to all concerned.
